MICRO WEDDINGS AND ELOPEMENTS
Post-pandemic, micro weddings and elopements have seen a surge in popularity. But what are they, and what is the difference? Well there are no clearly defined parameters. My understanding is that an elopement involves just the two of you and maybe a couple of witnesses. A micro wedding (or at least my definition) is a wedding with around 30 guests or fewer. It still involves some of the ‘traditional’ elements of a wedding such as a sit-down meal or evening party. An elopement would tend to be a much less structured event, with fewer formalities.
MICRO WEDDINGS AND ELOPEMENTS PACKAGES
Due to this rise in popularity (and because I love shooting them so much) I have now introduced specially tailored packages which cater for smaller weddings. My packages offer reduced hours of coverage which can suit the smallest wedding – please get in touch to find out more!
ELOPEMENT AND MICRO WEDDINGS GALLERY // CLAUDIA + KRIS
Claudia and Kris were married at the stunning Bamburgh Castle on the Northumberland coastline. Their wedding could qualify as either a micro wedding or an elopement, as it was just the two of them along with their two daughters. Either way, it was an honour to be part of such an intimate celebration. Being included in events like these requires an element of trust. I’m so glad Claudia and Kris put theirs in me, and allowed me in to their family circle for a few hours. The castle and beach at Bamburgh provide such a romantic backdrop, perfect for occasions like this.
