Cherry Blossom Engagement Shoot // Yana + Ben

Yana and Ben had their cherry blossom engagement shoot in mid-April. It’s all about timing when it comes to cherry blossoms. They usually make an appearance in late April/early May, but if it has been a mild winter they often arrive slightly earlier (which was the case this year). Once in bloom, the blossoms are only out for a couple of weeks, then they are gone again for another year.

Saltwell Park in Gateshead is a great spot for cherry blossoms and makes a perfect location for an engagement shoot. I just love shooting at this time of year. It’s so nice to start to see some colour around again after a winter that seems to have lasted forever!

These guys have their wedding in June at the magnificent Oulton Hall in Leeds – here’s hoping that they get a day like this one!
