Charlton Hall wedding // Jaime + Will
Jaime and Will’s Charlton Hall wedding was a stunner. March days don’t get much better than this – the sun shone pretty much all day and the only rain shower had the good grace to occur a few fields away, giving us a lovely rainbow instead of a soaking.
First, a bit about Charlton Hall. This is not an ordinary wedding venue. Jaime and Will picked Charlton Hall as it wasn’t a traditional wedding venue, although from a distance you could be forgiven for thinking it was. As Jaime said:
“We wanted something that wasn’t a traditional wedding venue and wanted something modern. so many hotels etc just weren’t us, we felt we were just ticking a box and that could be why we didn’t book our wedding for a long time – we got engaged in 2016. Charlton Hall immediately stood out and we booked it right away.”
Charlton Hall is a beautiful English Heritage mansion house, and while it may look similar to some other venues on the outside, there are definitely none that look like this on the inside! Just a few of the eye-catching features here include a giraffe on the staircase, some cool neon lighting and the stunning Looking Glass with its panoramic views of the beautiful neighbouring countryside.
Jaime got ready for her big day down the road at Eshott Hall, and the ceremony was held at the New Life Christian Centre in Morpeth. We also managed to squeeze in a trip to the lovely beach at Low Newton which is just a few minutes down the road from Charlton Hall. During speeches we discovered just why the Looking Glass is given its name – we got a fabulous view of a rainbow over the rolling hills in the background.
Jaime had told me before the wedding that Will is known for his “serious dance moves”, and when it came to party time he didn’t let me down. Big congrats to this awesome couple, and hopefully you’ll be seeing more from me at this beautiful venue soon. Check out some highlights from their day…

“Thank you Andy for doing such a fab job of our wedding photos. He did exactly as we hoped! He was lovely on the day. I viewed a lot of galleries and the way Andy captures the mood was special – and he did it for our wedding too. Thanks Andy!”
