You just can’t beat a vintage-styled Whalton Village Hall wedding, with a super-relaxed, laid back couple. And a VW Campervan. Always have a VW Campervan.
Emily and Phil’s big day was a visual treat from start to finish. From Emily’s beautiful vintage wedding dress and Phil’s tweed suit, to the wonderful bunting (hand made by Emily and her mum) and beautiful flower arrangements from The Garden Studio (those colours!), Whalton Village Hall had really been brought to life. We also had a beautiful misty Autumn day, which provided some great atmosphere for the wedding portraits.
We found a great spot just outside of Whalton to park the old VW (provided by VW Deluxe Weddings), and Emily’s son Daniel took to the wheel – obviously not impressed by Nigel’s driving!
After an awesome barbecue we heard some heartfelt and refreshingly cliche-free speeches, and the evening’s entertainment came in the form of a Ceilidh, with the guys getting pushed hard by the dance caller (his “little breaks” were just that – bums had barely touched seats before they were back up again!) I’m sure there must have been some sore heads (and thighs!) the next morning!
Emily and Phil – congratulations guys, and thanks for having me!
